Built around the hard moment

Calm enough to use. Honest enough to trust.

HonestQuit is an action layer between an urge and a cigarette. It complements—not replaces—counseling, medication, and professional care.

01

Help before paperwork

Start a 60-second reset, call the U.S. quitline, reach a support person, or record smoking immediately. Intensity and trigger questions are optional.

02

Slip-honest progress

Your current streak restarts and modeled savings adjust. Your broader journey remains visible, because one event is neither invisible nor total failure.

03

State-aware support

Preparing, quit day, maintaining, and after-slip experiences each get a useful next action instead of the same generic counters.

04

Data you can take with you

Export a checksummed JSON backup, preview and import it later, or erase everything in the app with typed confirmation.

Private by default

No account is a design decision.

Your quit date, reasons, smoking history, check-ins, assessment, and action history remain in your current browser profile unless you export them. HonestQuit includes no advertising or remote product-analytics SDK.

Local does not mean invulnerable: another person with access to the same browser profile may be able to read the data, and browser storage can be cleared or evicted. HonestQuit has no app-level lock or encryption. Export is the portable backup.

Evidence without theater

Clear sources. Clear limits.

Health windows are a concise educational projection of the CDC cessation timeline, not a scan of your body. The optional six-item dependence screen is sourced to NIDA and is not a diagnosis. Coping prompts are not HonestQuit-specific proof that the app will make someone quit.

Browser first

Use it now. Install only if useful.

HonestQuit works in a modern browser and can be added to a home screen. On iPhone or iPad, open it in Safari and choose Share → Add to Home Screen. On supported desktop and Android browsers, use the Install app command.

Straight answers

Before you begin

Does HonestQuit guarantee I will quit?

No. HonestQuit is a self-help and educational companion, not a medical device, treatment, or efficacy guarantee. Counseling and quit-smoking medication are evidence-based options to discuss with a clinician or pharmacist.

What happens after a slip?

The current streak restarts at the logged event and estimates subtract the cigarettes entered. The wider journey and prior work remain. You can correct an erroneous entry in Journey.

Can I back up or delete my data?

Yes. Settings provides JSON export, verified import preview, and typed erase-all confirmation. The export may contain sensitive quit information; store it somewhere you control.

Where does support coverage apply?

The product is currently U.S.-first: estimates default to USD and 1-800-QUIT-NOW is a U.S. service. HonestQuit does not imply localized clinical or crisis coverage elsewhere.

The next choice is enough

Private quit support, ready when the urge arrives.
